DIPLOMA IN BEGINNER’S COURSE
The Toni & Guy Diploma in Beginner’s Course has been developed from the in-house induction program created for own our staff in all our salons throughout the world. This complete course contains both theory and practical sessions to develop personal skills and a high standard of hairdressing ability. Students will acquire an in-depth knowledge onto all aspects of this exciting, professional and progressive industry.
Our Diploma on Beginner’s Course has three modules namely Fundamental, Intermediate and Advanced. Initial practice will take place on false blocks of hair, quickly progressing onto live models. Classic cutting, finishing, basic perming and colouring techniques will be covered, from application and colour choice to simple colour correction and winding techniques Our Classic Cutting techniques incorporate Fundamentals, Precisions, Transients & Men’s syllabus.
All students are continuously monitored and given guidance and progress reports. Group sessions and projects are conducted covering skills, client care, service orientation and personal presentation.
Entry Requirements
- Minimum of N’ or O’ Levels
- Language proficiency: Pass in English
To qualify for a Toni & Guy Beginner’s Diploma, students are required to meet all of the following criteria:
- Overall attendance of 90%
- Completion of all assessments* within the stipulated stages
- A Final Presentation Show**
*Comprises of 27 practical assessments and 1 written theory
**Final Presentation Show require a minimum of 10 models

There is no closing date for registration to this course as we operate strictly on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
For all Foreign Students (except PRCs), due to Immigration’s (ICA) regulations, applications for Student Visas must be made at least 12 weeks before the commencement date with all relevant documents.
To process a booking, an enrolment fee of $642.00 applies. Please note that the enrolment free in non-refundable, with the exception of non-approval from ICA after appeals.
Full tuition fee is payable 14days prior to the course commencement into the ESCROW Account.
The Diploma in Classic Precision course is uniquely formulated in Singapore to accommodate the needs of the Asian market within the region. Ideally tailored for recently trained hairdressers or anyone re-entering hairdressing to strengthen their basic knowledge and skills. Proof of previous hairdressing certification will be required as an entry prerequisite. This course is available in 4, 6, 8 or 10 weeks depending on an requirement.
Training syllabus includes Classic Cutting techniques (Fundamentals, Precisions & Transients) and reinforces basics to provide students with knowledge and confidence in their skills through classic haircut lines and finishing techniques. The course creates am opportunity for students to immerse themselves in demonstrations and practical workshops where live models (when possible) will be provided to all students.
The Classic Precision Course offers a concise education for students to refine and perfect a combined variety of TONI&GUY classic cutting techniques.

- Full completion of a Professional Hairdressing course or one year hairdressing experience in required.
- Language proficiency: pass in English

- Overall attendance of 95%
- Completion of all assessments within the stipulated stages
