In the evening our teams moved on to work backstage at two highly anticipated shows, Ashley Isham AW2013 – fresh from his showing at London Fashion week where the TONI&GUY UK Session Teams styled for his catwalk, and Peter Pilotto – one of Hollywood’s most sought after design teams.  Here’s a few snaps from our style teams:

ASHLEY ISHAM

Singaporean born designer Ashley Isham showed a futuristic, moody collection that featured angular shapes, contrasting textures, and sweeping movement.  For the hair, the styling team referenced the shapes of the visors the models wore to create polished, fan-like updo’s.

PETER PILOTTO

Peter Pilotto’s sold-out showing at AFF2013 was attended by Singapore’s who’s-who as well as international fashion lovers.  The British design duo showed a vibrant collection that featured structural garments embellished with graphic prints, colour blocked panels, and glitter.  To maintain focus on the clothes, our style teams created clean, sleek ponytails.

HUSSEIN CHALAYAN

Celebrated, British fashion label Chalayan was the closing show for AFF2013.  This final show featured classy, urban, and modern pieces in monochrome and jewel tones.  The hair style created for this show complimented the sophisticated yet wearable mood of Chalayn’s garments.  The loosely swept ponytail look was enhanced with fuller body on top to create an elegant, metropolitan feel.

As the official salon and styling team, TONI&GUY Singapore and Essensuals Hairdressing Singapore were thrilled to be a part of Audi Fashion Festival Singapore 2013.  We are proud to support and collaborate with local and international designers at major events like this one, and smaller collection features throughout the year.  We would like to thank Redken for their suport, and would like to give a huge CONGRATULATIONS to all our stylists, technicians, and assistants who worked to pull off over 15 events at AFF2013!  We will be back with a recap of the highlights of these shows – with official photos – so stay tuned.

Day 3 was a busy and exciting one for our styling teams.  Amidst 4 creating hairstyles for 4 shows, we managed to get some awesome backstage shots from Tsumori Chisato AW 2013.  The collection, inspired by waterfalls, featured the power, movement, and colours of falling water.  The TONI&GUY and Essensuals Hairdressing teams used this motif as a guide for the hairstyles as well.  A tight side-combed front created tension and structure, while a long, flowing backs added movement and fluidity.

Backstage at the Zardoze Show!

Our second day at Audi Fashion Festival 2013 was a busy one.  Before the main catwalk events of the evening, our styling teams were busy at work backstage at Blueprint Singapore – a muli-faceted trade show that features young and up-and-coming designers from all over Asia.  Yesterday, a fashion show displaying designs from 9 designers was packed with a hugely supportive, and fashion forward crowd.  Our TONI&GUY and Essensuals Hairdressing teams created youthful, inspired looks for this amazing event.

COLLETTE DINNIGAN

Australian designer, Collette Dinnigan showed a feminine collection with contrasts : lace & leather, light & dark hues. The TONI&GUY and Essensuals Hairdressing styling teams created natural looks with long, free-flowing style that complimented the show’s themes of womanhood, sensitivity, and strength.

RAOUL

Singaporean fashion house, RAOUL, showed an eclectic collection of direct shapes, luxurious fabrics, and ornate prints.  For this diverse collection, our styling teams created side-parted, sweeping fringes and backcombed ponytails.

The final show of the evening was Desigual – we’ll try to get some pics soon!

TONIGHT our teams are back again styling for The Audi Star Creation 2013 Winner’s Capsule Collection, Zardose and Panthea, Tsumori Chisato, GISELLAblu, and Aurora Wild!  We’ll do our best to cover all these shows and be back tomorrow with some more pictures.

Last night was the official opening night show of Audi Fashion Festival Singapore 2013! Our TONI&GUY Singapore styling team worked backstage at this exciting first show – Carolina Herrera’s fist presentation in Singapore.

Our team created 40′s inspired side rolls and twists to compliment the classic looks and glamourous styles that define Herrera’s collections.

AFF2013′s inaugural show featured looks from the Carolina Herrera New York ready-to-wear and bridal collections as well as CH Carolina Herrera, the lifestyle ready-to-wear and accessory collection for men and women.

Presiding over a global fashion empire, Carolina Herrera is recognized for her timeless elegance and sophistication. Adored by countless celebrities such as Katie Holmes, Renee Zellweger and Amy Adams, she is revered by the fashion industry and a true fashion icon in her own right.
